Business Description: This Spanish language radio station has been operated by the current owner for 19 years, and has recently occupied new studios. The frequency is a clear broadcast frequency, and the station is in the process of becoming purely digital and increasing its wattage by 3000 watts, which will give it the quality of FM transmission, with more coverage. All but one sector engineering study (south) has been completed, and FCC applications made. The station broadcasts around the clock, seven days per week. The programming is streamed on line. It is ranked number two in its primary market area according to the Arbitron Company in the spring of 2010, and has between 200,000 and 250,000 listeners. Its programming is a combination of Tropical music ( Salsa [Cumbia and Ballenato], Marengue, Bachata, Ballads, Regueton, Plena, and Bomba), news, weather, and sports reports, live coverage of events of interest to the Spanish-speaking community, and informational programs and interviews of interest to the Hispanic community with government officials, educators, and business leaders. The station plays music from Central and South America in order to fill the needs of its listeners. The seller will rent the land and transmitting towers and equipment to the new owner. 80% of the advertising revenue comes from national accounts, and net profit before owner's compensation equals about 50% of gross income. Accounts Receivable average 45-60 days.
