Preparing to Sell Your Business

Once you had decided you are ready, your VR representative will work with you on a valuation. This can be done in conjunction with the office or we have a number of independent outside valuation companies we work with. For the valuation and for future due diligence by a potential buyer, access to tax and accounting records and reports will be needed.

At this stage, your VR intermediary will deal with potential buyers, the landlord, lawyers, accountants and financial institutions. It is critical that once the business is on the market, the current owner continues to maintain the business and concentrate on the business. Always keep in mind that a potential buyer has to be confident that the benefits of the business will continue unabated.
