Meet Our Team

 

President of the VR Business Brokers’ office in Savannah, Steve has an extensive background in marketing, sales, management, operations, and acquisitions. Prior to opening the VR office, he was a Senior Vice President in The McGraw-Hill Companies’ Professional Publishing Group for 10 years. During his more than 25 years in the industry, he published over 3000 books and acquired eight companies or divisions.  Steve is a licensed real estate salesperson in Georgia. From his acquisitions experience exploring many small to medium-sized companies, he learned just how many different ways there are to accomplish a single business task.

 

With nearly 30 years of experience, Leslie brings to VR Business Brokers a broad background in all aspects of professional book publishing including product selection, development, production, marketing and promotion. For 13 years she was responsible for direct marketing and promotion to professional markets via the Internet; negative-option bookclubs; and shingleshot, catalog, and card-deck mailings. Prior to taking on marketing duties, she had experience as both a managing editor and director of acquisitions. She is a licensed real estate salesperson in Georgia.

 

 

 

Brian has been with our office since 2007. Since moving to Savannah in 2006, he has become very involved in our community. Brian is a Master Docent for the Jepson and Telfair Art Museums, is a past member of the Executive Board for the Downtown Business Association, has served on a funding review panel for the United Way and sits on the Savannah Historic District Board of Review.

 

For more than 30 years, Brian was an automotive parts manager, service manager and director of fixed operations. He developed expertise in inventory and operations management. He also excels at training and leading teams providing exceptional customer service. 

 

 

 

 

 

Prior to joining VR in 2011, Bill ran a small aerospace manufacturing company located in Savannah, GA. He was intimately involved in the extensive initial acquisition process, the day-to-day and strategic operations of the business and then its ultimate sale. Among his other small business experiences was the position of plant manager of a consumer services business. Bill has extensive experience in manufacturing and business leadership roles (FMC Corporation and DuPont), including positions as Director of Manufacturing and Director of Chemical Purchasing. His business leadership roles span nine different manufacturing and business sites.

  

Dave is a graduate of The University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science degree. Shortly after graduation, he began a 32-year career with GTE Directories Corporation, an international company. He started as National Accounts Sales Representative and held various positions within the company. He retired as Vice President, General Manager of National Accounts. He was responsible for sales and marketing directed at the national marketplace. Additionally, he managed a multi-million dollar sales contract with a large independent telephone company. He was also on the ground floor of developing and managing a sales agency group to sell cable advertising for a new cable television provider. Dave is a licensed real estate salesperson in Georgia. Dave currently lives on Skidaway Island with his wife, Vikki.
